FOALING NEWS 2009/10 August Foaling *A stunning chestnut colt sired by Sandbourne Royal Ensign, his dam Tallyrand Springtime is by Rotherwood Acrobat. This colt is proudly owned and bred by Lucinda Fraser, he is a big expressive moving colt like his parents and we expect him to mature as a Galloway.

Riding Pony Pageant 22nd November 2009 Continuing on his impressive winning way, Cody won his yearling class then was sashed Champion Riding Pony Colt. He then competed in the Partbred Welsh classes winning Champion Stallion or Colt and was then sashed Supreme Partbred Welsh Exhibit Ballarat 15th November 2009 Cody was sashed overall Champion Partbred Welsh Exhibit. Whittlesea 8th November 2009 Adding to his collection of awards this lovely colt won his Part Welsh class and was then awarded the Champion Part Welsh exhibit, watched by his proud breeder Amanda Hewitt and daughter Sophie Euroa 25th October 2009 First off was a win in the Arab Derivative class followed by taking out the overall Champion over the pure bred males and females. In the Riding Pony section he won his class and went Youngstock Champion, followed by the Supreme Riding Pony of the show. Lancefield 18th October 2009 Continuing on his winning ways the colt performed well taking out the Youngstock Championship and the Overall Supreme Riding Pony award. This was a good day as his breeder Amanda Hewitt was able to be at the show to see him win this award. Geelong Royal 16th October 2009 Again this beautiful colt had a great show, winning the Riding Pony yearling class and went on to win the Part Welsh class for stallion or colts. He then went on to be awarded the Part Welsh Championship. This lovely colt is of the highest quality. Seymour 3rd October 2009 The Riding Pony colt Thorwood Kings Gold, Sire Sandbourne Royal Ensign and Dam Belaradah Spun Sugar, made his showing debut winning Champion Riding Pony and Champion Palomino exhibit. He performed with royal presence and we have highexpectations for him in the future. He is owned and bred by Amanda Hewitt. Kolbeach Bells (Dolly) Sire: Fernleigh Fine Print. Dam:Kolbeach Song. Melbourne Summer Royal 23rd January 2010 Bells stood second in very strong filly class.
Whittlesea 7th November 2009 This lovely filly, who was the Champion Riding Pony Filly at Melbourne Summer Royal 2009, was sashed the Youngstock Champion at Whittlesea. Her proud owner Nirrelle Somerville was there to see her take out this award. Kilmore 5th December 2009 Kolbeach Bells added to ribbon collection by taking out the Supreme open led Championship and went Supreme overall Riding Pony. Melbourne Summer Royal 23rd January 2010 This lovely filly was second to the overall Champion filly Riding Pony Pageant 22nd November 2009 This was the first showing in the Riding Pony ring for this beautiful elegant filly. She won her age/height class showing off he extreme elegance and type. Marnie then competed in the Arabian Derivative ring winning her age class and the went on to be sashed Reserve Champion Filly. Oakdown Valentina (Tina) Sire: Sandbourne Royal Ensign (IMP UK) Dam: Oakdown Georgiana. Owned Mrs Fiona Walsh Melbourne Summer Royal 22nd January 2010 This was Tinas showring debut taking it all in her stride and bring home the Reserve Champion Youngstock Show Hunter award.

Ballarat 15th November 2009 Toy Soldier had a brilliant show he was sashed Champion Welsh Gelding and then went on to become the Supreme Welsh Exhibit. He was then shown in the Arabian Derivative classes for Champion Derivative Gelding. Seymour 3rd October 2009 The three year old grey Welsh B gelding Richdale Toy Soldier: sire Imperial (Gerada dam Weston Tatianna bred by Judy Ritchie now owned and shown by Paul Morath won his gelding class then sashed Reserve Champion Welsh gelding. Richdale Protocol (Col) Sire: Weston Park Sherlock. Dam : Imperial Pin-up Girl. Yearling Welsh A Colt. Owned and bred by Judy Ritchie
Seymour 3rd October 2009 The stunning Welsh A Palomino colt Richdale Protocol: sire Weston Park Sherlock dam Imperial Pin-up Girl owned and bred by Judy Ritchie won his colt/stallion class and was then awarded Champion Welsh A exhibit. Protocol will be campaigned with us at Geelong Royal and NSW All Welsh.
MAGIC BREEDS YOUNGSTOCK SHOW 24th MAY 2009
The second show for Deanhills Spring Carnival gave her the win and Champion Arabian Riding Pony a great filly with a future under saddle. VAHA PETSTOCK FOAL SHOW 9th MAY 2009 The much awaited show ring debut of Deanhills Spring Carnival (sire Sandbourne Royal Ensign dam Blaircourt Crystal Rose imp) was well worth the wait. This breathtaking chestnut filly handled her first show like a professional, taking all the challenges in her stride. She won her filly class and then went on to be awarded champion Riding Pony foal.
Deanhills Spring Carnival _________________________________________________________________________________ Riding Pony Gala Events Inc 23rd May 2009 Another successful show for this beautiful filly Deanhills Royal Show was a tied result in the class on points with the final placing 2nd and Reserve Champion filly, this was followed by the Supreme where she was awarded the runner up Supreme Champion above the riding pony colt and hunter pony Champion. South Gippsland Welsh Regional Promotions Group 26th April 2009 Our second foal show we attended this season once again saw Deanhills Royal Show take out the Supreme Champion Welsh Partbred award. We are delighted with this sensational fillies temperament and performance. Northern All Breeds Foal Show 19th April 2009 Deanhills Royal Show the first homebred foal by Sandbourne Royal Ensign to be shown in Australia took out the Supreme Champion Partbred Welsh award.This exquisite black filly is out of Fairlight Acres Style Pattern.

Barastoc Horse Of The Year Show 12th - 15th February 2009
The first day of this great event has made for a fantastic start for ponies produced by the Stud. Lucinda Fraser's beautiful two year old filly, ROYALWOOD MINUET (pictured above) took the Newcomer Led Small Pony Of The Year Award, followed by the Overall Supreme Led Newcomer Championship, whilst stablemate, PENMAIN POSH won the Open Led Large Pony Of The Year and eventual Reserve Supreme Champion Open Led, PENMAIN HEIR APPARENT had a great day for just a yearling, winning the Open Led Small Pony Of the Year. The second day saw the Riding Pony Breeding classes. MINUET had another fantastic outing winning the youngstock championship, followed by the Overall Supreme award. PENMAIN HEIR APPARENT was also a winner of his yearling class. Saturday was Part Bred day, with more great results. Emma Olsen's, DEEPLAKE ROYAL SYMPHONY (pictured below) stood youngstock Part Bred Mountain and Moorland Champion and then eventual Supreme Overall Champion.
PENMAIN HEIR APPARENT (below) took out a very strongly contested Welsh Part Bred section, standing Overall Youngstock Champion.

Pictured above is FALCONHURST FIRST DANCE by Sandbourne Royal Ensign, who had a fantastic show winning the National Riding Pony Yearling of the Year award, before going on to claim the National Led Youngstock of the Year then beating her older counterparts to be crowned the National Champion Of Champion Led Exhibit. Also representing Ensign was PENMAIN HEIR APPARENT and DEEPLAKE ROYAL SYMPHONY both top three finalists in their section. Rounding off a successful day was PENMAIN POSH who stood Reserve Champion Led Two Year Old of the Year. Victorian Riding Pony Youngstock Show 7th February 2009
Another great show for ponies produced by the Stud and progeny of SANDBOURNE ROYAL ENSIGN. Pictured above is KOLBEACH BELLS, shown on behalf of her new owners Scott and Nirrelle Somerville, to take Champion Filly in Ring 1, Supreme Filly Champion and Overall Supreme Youngstock of the Show. Representing Ensign was FALCONHURST FIRST DANCE, winner of the yearling filly class to make 12.2 in both rings, and PENMAIN HEIR APPARENT, who also made it a double in both rings in the 13.2 yearling colt class. PENMAIN POSH took the Champion Colt award in ring 2, and stood Reserve Overall Colt Champion
